A few days ago, the great Dan and I played a new and revolutionary sport, known as Carmiton. At first we tried playing normal badminton, but realizing the huge disparity between our skills, [I could not even hit the birdie with the racquet, while Dan hurled birdies at me at half the speed of sound] we decided to change the sport to equalize our skills. Dan was obviously well trained in the badminton by the legendary Master Edward Chin to whom he is the apprentice of. But I, Kyle was skilled in the art of driving a convertible with one hand.
Thus, carminton was formed, that is, Badminton+Cars=Carminton. One person is in a car and the other is throwing the birdie towards the driver of the car who is holding a racquet out of the window. The point is to hit the birdie that is thrown to you at top speed. It was hard at first but we got the hang of driving at 40mph on a small residential road slamming at birdies. As Dan whooshed through the quiet neighborhood in his turquoise van, a lady who lives across the street from Jessica Tupper's house came out and yelled "What the heck are you two doing?!" I responded "We're playing carminton!"
